CaptionOn Wednesday November 2 we invite all individuals community members artists and families to participate in the annual Dia de los Muertos Procession and Festival of Altars at Garfield Park. Please bring flowers photos candles and mementos to honor your loved ones that have passed away. Rescue Culture Collective will lead the procession at 7:00pm from 24th/Bryant St. through the Mission ending at the Garfield Park 25th & Harrison Festival of Altars sponsored by the Marigold Project. Dia de los Muertos is an annual Meso-American celebration dedicated to our ancestors and loved ones now gone. We celebrate the Day of the Dead by creating sacred space with art installations performances and a walking procession which help us contemplate our personal existence mortality and celebration of life. This is a community event with no corporate sponsors. Wheelchair accessible. Close to 24th street BART
