However if one person plays off the rhythm lacks control has bad technique or does not play according to the characteristics of the rhythm points are deducted from that individual's score. In inventing this system of competition Mestre Camisa's objective is to enhance the recognition for capoeira and bring it to a more professional level as a sport and an art. The Batizado or "baptism " will be held on Saturday November 6th from 4-7pm. The batizado is a traditional capoeira ceremony in which new students are initiated into the world of capoeira.
