| IPTC INFO | | Caption | Formed in 1989 Fogo Na Roupa consists of both a performing company and an award winning Grupo Carnavalesco Carnaval Group. The name which means "Clothes On Fire" is symbolic of the hot energy generated by the innovative rhythms and infectious dance moves that create fans from all walks of life. Fogo Na Roupa strives to combine the community's raw spirit with the technical expertise of its Founder and Artistic Director Carlos Aceituno. In addition to his guiding spirit and teaching skills in the areas of music dance and performance Carlos's expands his group's repertoire through his strong commitment to the study training and teaching of Capoeira. Out of this devotion was born the Kintuari chapter of Omulu Capoeira Group a youth capoeira group created in 1995. Carlos' education encompasses various forms of music and dance: Latin Afro-Brazilian Jazz Modern and African. Fogo Na Roupa in 2004 is making its 15th year a celebratory year of drum dance and passion for Brazilian culture.
