You line up buffet style and they have some homemade borscht that I can not get enough of. The Pirozhki are really good too as well as the Russian baked goods. They always have a solo accordion player downstairs to welcome you with live music and there are tables full of Russian gift items you can buy. --- --- --- Upstairs is the bar. Here you can try over 20 different kinds of vodka. Shots are only a few dollars and when I was there in February I had a good five six or seven. Lost count actually. Lemon cherry guava mango it goes on and on. Crowd is friendly Russians singing crowded but no one out of control. Family friendly kids and old people people of all ages enjoying Russian life together. --- --- --- In the main hall upstairs they have on going entertainment. Singers musicians dance groups soloists both classical and traditional music and dancing. They also bring in the "Limpopo Band" from L.A. - a great five piece Russian/Ukrainian band that is really a lot of fun to watch. Friday night they open it up for dancing in the main hall. Upstairs from the main ballroom is the Russian American museum that shows the history of the white Russians that fled communism and settled in California. Very interesting.
