| IPTC INFO | | Caption | New York is Book Country is a collection of events and activities that celebrate the City as the center of the country's publishing industry. The week-long festival includes author appearances panels seminars themed festival days devoted to film and NYC books and authors gala evenings and receptions exhibitions activities for kids and much more The festival highlight is the New York is Book Country Street Fair on Sunday. Stretching along 5th Avenue from 42nd to 55th Streets the street fair features at last count more than 200 exhibitors including major publishing houses cultural organizations specialized booksellers periodicals comics and illustrated books. Many exhibitors are grouped by specialty or interest such as African-American and Jewish books Spanish-language books books for kids and our favorites NYC and theater-related books.
