| IPTC INFO | | Caption | Over 175 Artists and Craft Vendors from throughout Louisiana and a nine-state area will be on hand to sell hand crafted items. A variety of wood crafts pottery jewelry clothing dolls and other items will be available throughout the weekend. The Cajun and Creole Food Tent will offer an assortment of items to satisfy all. Seafood Jambalaya Gumbo Red Beans and Rice Etouffee Onion Mums Barbecue Hamburgers Hot Dogs French Fries and assorted desserts are just a few selections that will be available. The 1830's Mule Barn will be converted to a wonderful Antique Mall filled with a fine selection of antiques and collectibles. Once again the Antiques section has been expanded to include additional vendors along the front outside of the Barn. Located near the Food Area the Wine Café is a great place to relax while taking a break from shopping. Continuous entertainment will be taking place throughout the grounds. The entertainment stage located near the food area will feature local bands and dance groups. Near the antique barn historical re-enactments and candle making indigo dyeing and other crafts will be demonstrated. The Plantation house can be viewed from the outside gallery with costumed tour guides stationed throughout the house. Guided tours through the interior of Plantation house will be available for an additional fee of $5 per person. The Destrehan Plantation Store will have a wonderful selection of unique and reasonably priced items for any special occasion. Other festival activities include raffles door prizes pony rides and a children's area. Admission to the festival is $5.00 for adults and teens ages 12 & Under Free.
