IPTC INFO
CaptionThere are no sand beaches there but you will see lots of visitors from other European countries enjoying the sun on the rocks and flat stones next to the sea. Rovinj is very visitor-friendly because the accomodations are not too expensive the food is good and you can wander the little brightly-colored streets all day. It is possible to stay in rented rooms or family-run small hotels. The town is active at night with markets street performers and shopping areas. There are many day-trip possibilities from Rovinj to nearby islands and towns. One place you should not miss is Pula which is a small town within an easy bus ride. It has a huge and very well-preserved Roman amphitheater. -_______________ By niko.chan nicoletta antonini http://www.flickr.com/photos/_nikochan_/222121131/ License AttributionNoncommercialNo Derivative Works Some rights reserved This photo was taken on August 15 2006 using a Canon EOS 350D Digital.
HeadlineRovinj on the Istrian peninsula is a beautiful old and very charming town. It lies on a small piece of land that juts out into the sea. It can be reached by boat from Italy or by bus/train connections through nearby Rijeka or Kanfanar.
